1: Create a FORMA account

Booking into classes and payments are made exclusively online through our system, so your first step is to create your FORMA account by clicking on the button below.

You will need to either select one of our “Membership packages” or choose one of our “Pay As You Go” options first, before you can book into classes. Once you have credits for classes you will be able to book. Classes can be booked up to 10 minutes before they start, and can be cancelled without charge up to 1 hour before they begin.

You may prefer to use the FORMA mobile app. It’s faster than using your computer and you can make your bookings on the go. Download it for free here in the App store for iPhone and iPad users and Google Play for Android device users by searching for “FORMA GymnasticBodies”.

FAQs

How fit do I need to be?

Our programme of classes is designed to take on complete beginner level students right on through to elite level athletes.

Gymnastic Strength Training is a progressive programme. This means we start out with very basic strength and mobility drills in our Foundation classes and progress individuals along a very fun but thorough course of increasing difficulty only when individual students are ready.

Is there a beginners class?

Yes we do have specific beginner classes. Please see our timetable for correct listings.

What classes can I join?

As a new comer you are able to join in with Foundations, Flexibility, Stretch & Core, Shoulder Prehab, Hip Prehab, Beginners Handstand, & Wall bar classes.

Our gymnastic classes require attendance to 3 months of consistent Foundations first, and our Rings Strength classes have a prerequisite of at least 6 months consistent Foundations classes.

When can I join RIngs Strength classes

We require all of our students to have attended a minimum of 6 months consistent Foundations classes before beginning on the Rings.

This is to ensure all the proper foundations have been developed in the joints, particularly the elbows and shoulders, in order to avoid unnecessary injury.

Do you provide 1-2-1 Personal Training?

Yes we do provide 1-2-1 sessions that can be tailored to your needs and current ability and/or progress.

What should I wear?

We recommend regular gym clothes to our classes that are not restricting your movement such as T-shirts, vests, sports bras, shorts, leggings and tracksuit bottoms.

We workout with bare feet in all of our classes. No footwear of any kind is to be worn in the studios.

Is there an age limit?

Our members cover a wide spectrum of adult ages starting in their late teens, through their 20’s & 30’s all the way through to their 60’s.

We believe Gymnastic Strength Training can help maintain your fitness throughout your entire life. There is no reason why one couldn’t be exercising in their 70’s and 80’s if they are consistent with their training and enjoy other healthy lifestyle choices also.

What shall I bring to class?

Water for your thirst and a small towel if you sweat a lot when working out.

Bottled water is available to buy at both gyms and tap water is also available.

There is a limited amount of storage space for your belongings in our studios so please bring minimal baggage.

I'm not flexible, will I be able to do anything?

We get asked this a lot and it actually makes us laugh, as hardly any of us (the instructors) were very flexible when we began our training.

You do not need to be flexible to start, but you do need to start in order to become flexible.

All of our classes have specific sections of warm up and basic stretching, but our Flexibility classes and Stretch & Core classes are deigned to specifically improve your flexibility over 60 minutes.

When can I start level 2 classes?

We asses individual students on their ability to join level 2 classes. All of our instructors will be able to assist and asses you on your progress into Level 2 classes.
